(Română) Mircea Eremia a absolvit al Institutul Politehnic din Bucureşti ]n 1968 cu specializarea electroenergetică; din 1977 este doctor inginer cu teza "Stabilitatea la mici perturbaţii a sistemelor electroenergetice". |n 1992 a fost numit profesor la disciplinele Transportul şi Distribuţia Energiei Electrice, Dinamica Sistemelor Electroenergetice. Actualmente este şef al Catedrei de Sisteme Electroenergetice din Universitatea „Politehnica” Bucureşti (UPB). Alte realizări ale sale sunt: profesor invitat la FP-Mons (1992, 1994), EPF-Lausanne (1993, 1994), INP-Grenoble (2005); premiul „Constantin Budeanu” al Academiei Române (2000) pentru cartea „Réseaux Electriques. Aspects actuels”; IEEE Senior Member (2000), membru al Power Systems Dynamic Performance Committee (din 2002) al IEEE; Preşedinte al IEEE Romania PES Chapter (din 2001) şi Reprezentantul Chapterelor din IEEE Regiunea 8 – Europa Centrală şi de Sud (din 2005); Membru distins al CIGRE (2004), membru al Comitetului de studii pentru HVDC şi Electronică de Putere (din 1996).
