Professional History
(Română) Marius Peculea a făcut studiile universitare la Şcoala Politehnică, Facultatea de Electrotehnică din Timişoara, unde a obţinut titlul de inginer, cu calificative maxime. Doctoratul în ştiinţe l-a luat în 1966, în 1974 devenind doctor docent. A debutat în învăţământul superior ca asistent la Institutul de mecanică din Cluj. A fost asistent la Universitatea Babeş Bolyai din Cluj. Profesor şi la Institutul de Construcţii, Facultatea de Instalaţii din Bucureşti, unde a predat cursuri de termodinamică şi trasfer de căldură. Pensionat în anul 1989, a rămas în continuare profesor asociat şi conducător de doctorate la disciplina Termodinamică. În paralel cu activitatea didactică a efectuat cercetări în domeniul fizicii atomice. În anul 1952, a înfiinţat Serviciul de Studii şi Proiectări la Uzina Tehnofrig din Cluj Napoca pe care l-a şi condus. În anul 1959, a devenit cercetător la Institutul de Fizică Atomică din Cluj, unde a condus Laboratorul de separări izotopice. În 1970, a fost numit director la Uzina „G” din Râmnicu Vâlcea, prima unitate nucleară din România. Numele său este legat de proiectarea, realizarea şi optimizarea energetică a sistemului complex de obţinerea apei grele în Uzina „G”, prin cuplarea a două metode, folosind procedee originale, în premieră mondială. A elaborat procese industriale de separare (1984). Descoperirile sale se regăsesc în 24 de brevete de invenţie. Rezultatele cercetărilor sale originale au fost publicate în peste 300 de lucrări, studii, articole, comunicări, apărute sub semnătura sa în reviste de prestigiu din ţară şi străinătate.
