Petru Ion Văduva to be named CEO at Chimcomplex Borzesti

Petru Văduva, former general manager of Transgaz, will become CEO of Chimcomplex Borzeşti, after the company will take over the main assets of the Oltchim plant, according to a press release issued to Agerpres on Wednesday.

“Chimcomplex SA Borzeşti, the winning company to acquire the main assets of Oltchim, consolidates its top management positions with well-trained people to successfully set up the Romanian Chemical Company that will integrate the two industrial platforms – Borzeşti and Ramnicu Valcea – to become a relevant industrial player in the industry”, according to the communiqué quoted by Agerpres.

Thus, Chimcomplex’s leadership team will be strengthen with Petru Ion Vaduva, Peter Bombeld and Stefan Bucataru.

Petru Ion Văduva is an MBA graduate at Yale Business School in the United States and has management experience in the field of financial investments, holding key positions within companies in the United States and Europe, such as JP Morgan, Bear Stearns and Caspian Securities (USA), Renaissance Capital and UralSib (Russia), SEB Investment Mgt and CLSA London (United Kingdom).

Former Investment Director at GEM Interprise, Petru Ion Văduva has been Chief Executive Officer of Tiriac Holding since 2009 and since 2013 he held the position of General Manager of the national company Transgaz SA Medias. After the completion of Oltchim’s acquisition, Petru Ion Vaduva will be the new CEO of Chimcomplex SA Borzeşti, the company’s representatives said.
