OMV Petrom has implemented the electronic signature for fuel contracts for legal clients. Thus, about 32,000 kilograms of wood and 700,000 liters of water can be saved annually, by reducing the amount of paper used in signing and carrying out contracts.

“The electronic signature of the contracts, in digital format, without having to send them by post allows us to reduce the contracting time of up to 20 days, to a single day. In addition, the elimination of paper documents contributes to reducing the environmental impact and brings cost savings by printing and transmitting documents,” said Adrian Nicolaescu, VP Product Supply & Sales East.

The electronic signature solution is provided by DocuSign, the most well-known company in the field worldwide and has been implemented in OMV Petrom this summer. The electronic signature completes the range of digitized services for fuel customers that are legal entities, together with electronic invoices and dedicated online platforms.

Electronic billing services for OMV Petrom’s legal clients, on the fuel segment, have been available since 2013. Currently, about 90% of customers use this system, eliminating the need to print, transmit and physically archive documents.
