OMV Petrom launches a new edition of the “School of Petroleum Workers” program

OMV Petrom launches a new edition of the vocational education program “School of Petroleum Workers”. It is the first series of this program that takes place in a dual system, by setting up three classes specializing in well operators in three partner high schools: “Astra Pitești” Technological High School, “Grigore Cobălcescu” Technical College Moinești and “Voievodul Mircea” Technological High School Târgoviște. Thus, students who want to specialize in this field can register until July 3 for one of the 84 available places.

Christina Verchere, CEO of OMV Petrom: “At OMV Petrom, we strongly believe in the fundamental role that education has in our lives and in the development of society and, therefore, education is one of the pillars on which we have built our social involvement. In the last five years, we have focused our attention on the development of vocational education and we have invested over 3.5 million euro for this purpose in Romania. This year we are launching the third edition of the Petroleum School program and I invite young people attracted to the field of energy to apply. It is a responsibility and at the same time a joy to carry on this profession with tradition.”

The School of Petroleum in dual system is addressed to students who will graduate or who have already graduated the 8th grade and who have not reached the age of 26 until September 1, 2020.
