National Nuclearelectrica SA (SNN) requests the shareholders’ agreement to start the works for the Cernavoda reactors 3 and 4.
According to a press release of the company, the representatives of SNN request the introduction on the agenda of the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, set for 10/11 April 2019 the “approval of the Preliminary Forms of Investors Agreement on Units 3 and 4 from CNE Cernavoda concluded between China General Nuclear Power Corporation and CGN Central and Eastern Europe Investment (RO) CO.S.A. and SN Nuclearelectrica SA”.
The request came from the majority shareholder, Ministry of Energy, according to e-nergia.ro.
The completion of Cernavoda’s 3 and 4 reactors is estimated to worth five billion euros, and authorities are analyzing what state aid they can give to investors, including the possibility of selling energy outside the exchange, according to a document entitled “Revised Strategy for continuation of the project of Units 3 and 4 in Cernavoda”, posted on the Nuclearelectrica site and consulted by Agerpres.
