More than 1.04 million labor contracts have been suspended since the declaration of state of emergency

A number of 1,046,527 individual employment contracts have been suspended since the entry into force of the state of emergency (March 16) until now, according to the Labor Inspection figures released by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (MMPS) quoted by Agerpres.

Of these, 324,087 suspended employment contracts were in the manufacturing industry, 198,588 were in the wholesale and retail/ repairs of motor vehicles and motorcycles, and 119,846 came from the hotel and restaurant industry.

Another 215,656 individual employment contracts ceased, from the establishment of the state of emergency until Monday, as follows: 41,197 contracts in the field of wholesale and retail/ repairs of motor vehicles and motorcycles, 37,152 in the manufacturing industry and 28,770 employment contracts in field of construction.
