MOL Romania supports the efforts to combat the new coronavirus made by the Partnership Foundation by granting 100,000 euro for the purchase of protective equipment for the County Emergency Hospital „Dr. Fogolyán Kristóf” Sfântu Gheorghe, Miercurea Ciuc County Emergency Hospital and Odorheiu Secuiesc Municipal Hospital. MOL Romania and the Partnership Foundation thus contribute to the creation of safer working conditions for medical staff, the donated protective equipment being indispensable tools for the safe fight against the new coronavirus.

“MOL Romania supports the fight against the pandemic through projects aimed at purchasing equipment needed for hospitals in the country, as well as by supporting the construction of Modular Hospital 1 Elias for COVID-19 patients. With this new support to the Partnership Foundation our company continues its commitment to contribute to the efforts to fight the new coronavirus and to help slow down its spread by financing the purchase of protective equipment for doctors and medical staff,” said Camelia Ene, Country Chairman & CEO of MOL Romania.

The current initiative of MOL Romania was preceded by a support of 400,000 euro for the purchase of protective equipment and medical instruments (ventilation devices, oxygen masks) needed by hospitals in the country and to support the construction of a modular hospital in Bucharest. The modular hospital dedicated to the treatment of patients infected with COVID-19 will have 38 beds and can be used even after the current medical crisis is overcome, as a hospital for patients with severe burns.
