MOL Romania will finance 18 projects of emotional therapy, art therapy and psychosocial interventions dedicated to children with disorders, the amount allocated being of 400,000 lei, the company announced.

These are projects selected in the 12th edition of the MOL Program for Children’s Health, organized in conjunction with the Community Foundation. The final beneficiaries will be 773 children who live with different disabilities, suffer from chronic diseases or are recovering from serious illnesses.

„MOL Romania maintains its commitment to be the reliable partner of the communities. We continue this year the social responsibility program for children’s health. This edition, more than the previous ones, showed us how necessary our help is. The pandemic has exacerbated the problems of children with disabilities or chronic diseases, adding anxiety and stress to their suffering. It gave us hope that many specialized NGOs have prepared a professional response, enriched and adapted the applied methodology, approached new profound ways of working with children, but also with their families. MOL Romania will remain a supporter of their efforts and we are convinced that, together, we can change the lives of these children for the better,” said Camelia Ene, Country Chairman & CEO of MOL Romania.

The 18 winning projects were selected from a total of 77 proposals received between November 2 and December 2, 2020. The projects were submitted by non-governmental organizations specializing in emotional therapy, art therapy and psychosocial interventions for children and young people with deficiencies, with chronic diseases or recovering from serious illnesses. The registered organizations come from 26 counties, and 43 of them also participated in the previous editions of the Program. The projects selected for funding will be implemented between February and August 2021.

Of the 18 winning NGOs, 8 get funding for the first time, while 10 have received support in previous editions.
