Over 90% of the participants in a market study conducted by MOL Romania stated that they use the car as often in winter as in the rest of the year, and the time given to preparing the car for the cold season is of a maximum of 4 hours, in most cases (70%), the budget allocated for this purpose being less than 500 lei.

In addition, 78% of drivers say they understand the need to use fuel specially adapted for the cold season, while over 90% of participants in this market research are convinced of the importance of using special winter tires.

The survey was conducted online by MOL Romania between December 12-18, 2020, on a sample of over 2,000 respondents, participants in the MOL MultiBonus loyalty program.

The research showed that only half of the drivers use the service to prepare the winter car, although over 90% of the survey participants said they use the car as much in winter as in other seasons.

Also, in overwhelming proportions, the respondents mentioned that checking the antifreeze level and the condition of the battery are among the operations they do at the beginning of winter.
