Ministry of Economy and Energy calls for the replacement of Sevil Shhaideh from OMV Petrom’s board

The Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment (MEEMA) has asked OMV Petrom to organize a shareholders’ meeting for the dismissal of Sevil Shhaideh’s position within the Supervisory Board, according to a report presented to the Stock Exchange.

MEEMA holds a 20.6% stake in OMV Petrom.

The shareholders will also decide in the extraordinary meeting and the appointment of a new member of the SB.

The mandate will expire on April 28, 2021. The reference date is to be set by the company.

Sevil Shhaideh, a person close to Liviu Dragnea, was also the first proposal of the PSD leader to form the government after the previous elections, proposal rejected by President Iohannis.
