Mihai Darie leaves Nuclearelectrica and joins Electrica SA as CFO

A few months before the end of the term of financial director at Nuclearelectrica, Mihai Darie decided to join the executive management team of Electrica SA. From January 3, 2018, he will replace Iuliana Andronache, dismissed from office on December 15.

Between March and October 2016, Chief Financial Officer Iuliana Andronache was also Interim General Manager of Electrica SA.

The Chief Executive Officer of Nuclearelectrica announced that the Board of Directors of SNN will make a decision in the immediate upcoming period on the provisional appointing of a Financial Director „until the completion of the selection procedure organized in compliance with OUG 109/2011”. The company „thanks Mr. Mihai Darie for his professionalism and efforts during his mandate period in order to meet the performance criteria related to his mandate contract, for the financial results registered by SNN throughout 2014-present, given the market challenges associated to this period and for his constant involvement in identifying and implementing the best measures and practices.”

In January 2017, Mihai Darie was Keynote Speaker at an Energy Breakfast Club edition dedicated to procurement in energy companies.

Nuclearelectrica shares have had one of the best performances this year, after a gain of 1.15% on Friday, for an increase of 46.4% in the past 12 months. The company closed Friday’s trading session at a price of 7.05 lei per share, which results in a stock market capitalization of 2.125 billion lei.

On the other hand, Electrica continued to lose ground on the BSE, with a decline of 0.18%, in a favorable general context on the local capital market. The weekly loss amounted to 1.99%, while for December, till now, Electrica cumulated a loss of 7.67%. Over the past 12 months, Electrica’s stock market capitalization has fallen by 18.37% to 3.749 billion lei.
