The Board of Directors of Transgaz appointed Ion Sterian general manager of the company, following the conclusion of the selection procedure carried out according to Ordinance no. 109/2011 on corporate governance.

Marius Vasile Lupean was also appointed financial director of the company.

“The National Natural Gas Transport Company ‘Transgaz’ SA informs all those interested that the selection procedure for the position of General Manager and Financial Director of the company has been completed, in accordance with the provisions of GEO No. 109/2011 on corporate governance public, with the subsequent amendments and completions and with the provisions of GD No. 722/2016 for the approval of the Methodological Norms for the application of some provisions of GEO No. 109/2011.

Following the conclusion of the selection procedure and the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors of SNTGN Transgaz SA appointed by Decision no. 22 / 27.07.2021 on Mr. Ion Sterian in the position of General Manager and on Mr. Marius Vasile Lupean in the position of Chief Financial Officer,” it is mentioned in a report of the company submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange, according to Agerpres.

The National Natural Gas Transmission Company Transgaz is the technical operator of the national transmission system and is responsible for its operation in conditions of quality, safety, economic efficiency and environmental protection.
