Impact Trust, controlled by businessman Gheorghe Iaciu, plans to use geothermal energy to supply the following 5,000 apartments in the Greenfield residential project with thermal energy.

“We want to be able to bring geothermal energy, to supplement the energy needs that the inhabitants have in their homes. The stake is to be able to heat 5,000 apartments, to heat them with energy, where, after making the investment, the only cost remains that of pumping water,” said Răzvan Ionescu, marketing director of Impact, according to zf.ro.

He stressed that Impact is implementing a partnership with Veolia Energy Romania to identify and implement solutions to turn Greenfield into the largest green residential project in Eastern Europe.
