Romania calls on the European authorities to introduce provisions that will allow the competitiveness of European companies to be maintained after the implementation of the Green Deal in the fight against climate change.

The subject was discussed in Brussels by Prime Minister Ludovic Orban with the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli. “The Parliament will be the one that will practically discuss with the other institutions the mechanism of codecision, about 40 normative acts that will be necessary for the implementation of this Green Pact and I have expressed concern that everything that means the measures provided in the Green Deal will not affect Europe’s global competitiveness, not affect the ability of European companies to compete and grow on the global market, as well as enable each country to quickly access the resources needed to achieve the goals set in the Green Deal,” said Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, according to Radio Romania Actualitati.
