German companies appreciate the fight against corruption and wish it will go on

8000 German companies and companies with German capital are active in Romania and they have over 250,000 employees, announces the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a press release that insists on the fact that “the German companies appreciate the fight against corruption and they want it to go on”.

Bilateral economic relations betwenn Romania and Germany have continued to grow in 2016, when trade amounted to over 24 billion euro, in the first 11 months (+ 13%). “The German direct investments are 8 billion euros worth,” the release reads: “German companies have continuously invested in the past 25 years and for long term in Romania, contributing decisively to technology transfer and to increase the competitiveness of the Romanian economy.”

The Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry mentions the most recent questionnaires, according to which “legal stability, predictability of economic and political decision and stable economic framework are important criteria for an investment location to German companies.”
