Frenchman Frédéric Banco will take over as CEO of ALD Automotive Romania, one of the biggest local operational leasing firms, starting September 1, 2016.
Banco has 20 years of experience in operational leasing and has managed ALD Automotive’s subsidiary in Morocco since December 2012. Before that, he managed the corporate client division within ALD Automotive France (2007-2010) and was general manager of ALD Automotive Algeria (2010-2012).
He will replace Irishman Shane Dowling, who has managed ALD Automotive Romania since 2011. Under his management, ALD Automotive has increased its fleet by 40% and the number of clients went up by over 30%.
Dowling will move to Turkey as Regional Manager of ALD Automotive South-Eastern Europe, which coordinates the group’s subsidiaries in Turkey, Romania, Greece, and Bulgaria. He will also be CEO of ALD Automotive Turkey.
In recent years, ALD Automotive was, thanks to its long term partnership with energynomics.ro, always close to the energy industry in Romania, mainly on electric mobility sector.
