Former head of Transelectrica, sent to court in custody

Prosecutors within the Criminal and Criminal Prosecution Section of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice sent the former Transelectrica chief, Marius Dănuț Carașol, to court, for criminal offenses, use of false and fraud.

“In fact, the defendant used false documents, respectively study documents stating that he attended the courses of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, the Faculty of electrical engineering, being a diplomatic engineer, for his employment in different economic entities”, it is shown in the indictment.

On the basis of art.330 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the prosecutors proposed to the court the maintenance of the preventive measure of the preventive arrest taken against the defendant, as well as of all the insurance measures ordered in question, respectively maintaining the seizure established on two buildings and one Bank account.
