The Ministry of Energy signed with Complex Energetic Oltenia two financing contracts worth about 21 million euros for the modernization of the power units at Rovinari and Işalniţa from the National Investment Plan managed by the ministry, announced on its Facebook page, minister Victor Grigorescu.

“I signed with Complex Energetic Oltenia two financing contracts worth about 21 million euros for the modernization of the energy units at Rovinari and Işalniţa from the National Investment Plan managed by the Ministry of Energy – Romania. The National Investment Plan is supplied by funds from the sale of the certificates for greenhouse gas emissions,” said the minister, quoted by Agerpres.

“For several years because of the bureaucratic blockages and inefficiency, we looked at how the  money accumulate for nothing in the accounts. At the begining of 2016 we almost lost the European Commission approval because of undue delays of the Romanian public administration,”, said Grigorescu.

“Starting Friday, we direct the money towards investments in our energy capabilities that have the greatest need. By the end of this mandate, we intend to reopen the funding scheme, in order to accept other viable projects to modernize our energy aggregates,” also wrote the Minister of Energy.
