Affordable, efficient and sustainable heat through cogeneration (May 14, Bucharest)

Cogen Europe, Cogen Romania and Ecovis Ciurtin & Associates are organizing the international conference “Affordable, Efficient and Sustainable Heat Through Cogeneration: European Perspectives and Lessons Learned”. The event will take place in Bucharest, at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, on May 14, 2019, starting at 09:00.

The conference will present the European experience and prospects in the field of energy as well as modern and innovative solutions for heating the people in Europe and Romania.

As a first, the “Position Paper on the impact of CO2 emissions on the heat markets”, developed by Ecovis Ciurtin & Associates for Cogen Romania, will be presented in the interest of central and local authorities, and of citizens, altogether.

The event focuses on the key topics of the agenda of the EU Presidency and the Romanian Presidency’s, among which the future European energy system, innovation in the power grids, decarbonization of the energy sector and transition to a low-carbon economy.

The main objective of the conference is to bring Romania in line with the EU’s strategic objectives on the security of energy supply to the citizens of the Member States at affordable and competitive prices, within verifiable limits of pollution, with social and health benefits.

Representatives of the Romanian Government, the Ministry of Energy, MDRAP, the Ministry of Environment, ANRE, the Competition Council, officials from the European Commission – DG Energy, invited by Cogen Europe, and the main representatives of the Romanian energy industry confirmed their participation at the event.
