The power of cogeneration – subsidies, technologies, business models (EBC, June 21)

June 21 @ 09:00 - 13:00

| RON50
Thursday, on June 21st, from 09:00 at ELCEN headquarters, conference hall of CET Grozăvești, in 229 Splaiul Independenței, Bucharestenergynomics.ro invites you to yet another informal Energy Breakfast Club meeting this year, dedicated to experts and decision makers in the energy industry: The power of cogeneration – subsidies, technologies, business models. It is already well-known that cogeneration thermal power plants allow for significant cost savings and improved energy efficiency by using raw material to produce not only electricity but also heat. And yet, despite this understanding, though incorporated in strategic documents at European and national level, despite all support schemes, cogeneration capacities do not develop as the market seem to allow, neither for district heating, nor in the industry, or in the HORECA sector. Join the Energy Breakfast Club for a discussion with experts in cogeneration companies to find out what the sector’s challenges are and to analyse examples of good practice based on either efficient support schemes, or customized technology solutions, or flexible business models!

THEMES

We will invite experts from the energy sector, mainly representatives of Romania’s most active companies in the automation and IT sector, as well as representatives of professional associations in the field.

Next years, we will face even more complicated challenges, as more and more outdated thermal power plants will exit the energy system, and more and more consumers will have been taught to provide their thermal energy needs by themselves.

  • Prerequisites for efficient use of cogeneration plants (resources, access, demand profile, etc.)
  • Specific services for optimized investment in cogeneration
  • Which cogeneration projects deserve to be funded – feasibility calculations
  • Technologies customized to the consumer profile
  • Cogeneration in Romania – specific conditions, the case of urban communities

Over 30 experts, representatives of AON Consulting, CBRE, CET Govora, Cogenerg Services, D’Estate,
Ecohornet, Emerson, EnergoBit, Garanti Bank, Ijdelea Mihailescu Spari, Jereh, Kawasaki, Logstor, Sixt, SRL Horus, MET România Energy, Romelectro, Teb Energy Business, WeTranslate
have already confirmed their participation.
