Don't miss!
energynomics

We continue to present the 2017 nominations for the energynomics.ro Awards, with the Energy Efficiency category. Only one of the projects below will be rewarded during the Gala from December 7th, but every company and everyone involved in these projects deserve our respect and the widest promotion. We thank all the companies and personalities involved in this effort to draw the image of the Romanian energy industry in 2017 through its achievements!

ATREA România – Amber Gardens (Residential complex with luxurious green houses)

Web-banner-fost-early-bird-2Amber Gardens, developed by Alesonor, is the first residential complex in Romania with luxury green houses, which is based on the principles of bioclimatic design and applies the energy standards of a passive house, the highest energy standard in the world.

A proof of success is the large customer interest in this home concept. The Atrea ventilation system is an essential component for achieving the passive house goal. Amber Gardens demonstrates that today’s most ambitious targets of the EU’s Energy Efficiency Directive for 2020 can be achieved: zero-energy energy consumption, while respecting additional principles that are essential to green buildings.

Designed for a high level of performance, Amber Gardens homes consume 90% less energy than a conventional house. Thus, each dwelling can save its inhabitants about 50,000 euros in savings over 20 years.

The Amber Gardens project is the winner of the 1st prize at the prestigious “Bucharest Annual Architecture” competition, and besides many design and environmental awards, it has won the first Green House certification from Bucharest awarded by the Romanian Green Building Council (RoGBC). Energy efficient and built to a high standard of quality, Amber Gardens luxury green homes are considered safe investments by banking institutions, while qualifying as a green mortgage.

Dominated by Amber Gardens and Amber Gardens, it comprises 50 luxury, individual, family-friendly, luxury family villas with a modern, unit-built design with a high quality construction that protects at the same time health and nature. The complex also has a green playground, a tennis court, a basketball court and a station for charging electric cars.

LISSCOM Brasov – Efficiency and Optimization of Thermal Energy in Public Buildings in Cluj-Napoca

The system is a SMART CITY application because the area of use covers the entire city, with the main goal of making public heating more efficient, which also leads to a reduction of electricity consumption and a significant reduction in the general administration costs, service and maintenance, due to the unique coordination of the dispatcher and the use of minimal technical, material and human means.

LISSCOM has designed, built and installed an energy management system that manages CHP thermal and production installations in 73 public buildings in Cluj Napoca (universities, high schools, sports halls, kindergartens, kindergartens, apartment buildings). Thus, over 200 thermal power plants located in these buildings are monitored and controlled remotely, ensuring efficient energy management and significant savings.

The implementation of the project had two main stages: the first stage (2016) the execution and assembly of BMS automation systems at 43 + 5 buildings in the pre-university education network (schools, sports halls, dormitories, kindergartens), to which 12 buildings of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy and 13 ANL blocks, and the second stage (2017) the implementation of the energy management and optimization system by setting up an energy data center within the thermal dispatching center of RAT Cluj-Napoca. The energy management system used is ISO 50001 certified and fully complies with the requirements of Energy Efficiency Law 121/2104.

For almost 10 years, LISSCOM – Braşov has been active in the field of energy efficiency and optimization by implementing its own design solutions based on BMS systems and hardware and software components from the German company GFR.

Scandinavian village – the first district of energy independent houses in Romania

In the Scandinavian Village, located in Snagov, there are the only active houses in Romania. An active house is evaluated on the basis of the interaction between energy consumption, indoor climate and environmental impact. More specifically, active homes create a healthier and more comfortable environment for their inhabitants, are energy-independent, more sustainable and have a positive environmental impact.

The Scandinavian Village project is being developed by one of the largest Swedish construction companies, LINOTOL SUEDIA. Scandinavian techniques and modern technology have been deployed in the smallest detail to obtain highly active and sustainable housing. The Scandinavian village currently has 14 completed dwellings and in 2018 the second phase of the project will start – the development of 50 more active houses on a 70,000 sqm plot.

Scandinavian model in energy efficiency is a landmark for the whole of Europe, and with the development of this project it reconfigures the luxury real estate market in Romania. Located just 20 minutes away from Bucharest, the Scandinavian Village is thought to be an integrated local community and has all the necessary facilities for organizing social events.

The houses are equipped with heat pumps, the most efficient heating and cooling technology used on a large scale in Scandinavia. Houses are built with maximum energy efficiency. Houses of the future are defined by energy independence and the efficiency of systems that provide all the utilities of such a home. Scandinavian village is the first fully independent real estate project in Romania, characterized by maximum energy efficiency, with no maintenance costs.

The houses benefit from the latest technologies for smart control of temperature, humidity, ventilation and fresh air.

Innovative technologies are combined by Swedish engineers with a full set of construction details in a cost-effective energy efficiency system: geo-thermal pumps, waterproof foundation and thermal insulation, efficient concrete and durable brick structures, ventilated facades – the most efficient thermal insulation system used in Romania, Creaton tile roof, guaranteed for 50 years, Alumil carpentry and Saint Gobain glass.

Schneider Electric – Energy Efficiency Solutions in the Buildings of Orhideea Towers Bucharest

Energy efficiency solutions provided by Schneider Electric in the Orhideea Towers buildings ensure energy savings of up to 30%. Orhideea Towers buildings have been designed according to the highest quality standards, and will be certified as green buildings – LEED Gold.

Schneider Electric has equipped the two Orhideea Towers buildings with the most innovative solutions for power distribution, metering, monitoring and control for the heating/cooling and lighting systems. Our power supply and metering solutions provide maximum efficiency and flexibility in space rental.

The buildings have a total area of 37,000 sqm. and are located in the Orchideei Road no. 15, sector 6, Bucharest. The two towers are linked by a bridge, hidden behind a glass facade.

The Investor, CA IMMO has an important portfolio of office buildings across Europe, built to the highest standards.

In this project, Schneider Electric provided the electrical installation package based on connectivity and digitization. The solutions include: low-loss EcoDesign medium voltage transformers, Canalis encapsulated bar solution, power distribution Prisma panels, interconnecting power meters, UPSs, motion sensors, communicating frequency converters, reactive energy compensation, the BMS solution designed on our EcoStruxure architecture. Using standard communication protocols, open to the building’s IT infrastructure, our BMS solution connects all building installations to a single monitoring, management and reporting platform.

The Trion system produced by Stratum Enclosures in the Romanian factory

The Trion system, produced by Stratum Enclosures, in the Romanian plant, successfully combines solar energy storage in batteries with a DC generator system, using of energy stored in batteries at night or during cloudy days.

Trion is a modular, offgrid or ongrid power plant, customizable to each customer’s requirements based on the GPS point. It is very compact, intelligent (remote monitoring), easy to install, and has a high degree of protection (IP55).

The system has been successfully installed at a hostel in Romania to produce the necessary power, but the system has also successfully passed endurance tests – more than 5,000 units have been produced and delivered to Africa! Success is guaranteed by the low cost of production, as the system is produced in the Romanian Stratum factory.

From the impact perspective, solar energy is free, non-polluting, and not influenced by market price increases.

This is the VIDEO presentation.
