The joint venture opened by the Energy Cooperative announced that it will acquire Apuron Energy, a small local supplier, for the amount of 2 million lei.

“Since its launch, we have worked with cooperative members to launch the production and supply of green electricity. For the first time for the local energy market, the members of the Energy Cooperative will be able to become investors in green energy. The Energy Cooperative will become the first supplier of 100% renewable energy, with certificates of origin… In the last 6 months, we worked on the acquisition of the energy supply company Apuron Energy, a business with about 150 customers – mainly SMEs – which sells 40 GWh/year,” say the members of the association.

“We decided to acquire this supply company because it was the fastest and safest way to start the supply of renewable energy, without wasting money and time in the growth process… For the first time for the Romanian energy market, the acquisition of the supply company will be financed entirely by the cooperating members, in the form of granting to the cooperative loans with attractive yields.”

The acquisition will be financed only by the members of the association, in the form of an interest-bearing loan.
