The Romanian companies of the Enel group support cultural projects carried out by the Bucharest National Opera and the “Oleg Danovski” National Opera and Ballet Theater in Constanța during this period, when it is not allowed to perform shows and events with the public.

“Enel has supported and will continue to support artists, events and cultural institutions. During this period, in which the pandemic determined us to adopt the rules of social distance and prevented cultural institutions from being able to organize shows, we maintain our strategy of being a long-term partner of the Romanian culture,” said Carlo Pignoloni, CEO and Country Manager, Enel Romania.

The support given to these two cultural institutions joins Enel’s initiatives in Romania to support people and institutions affected by the pandemic. So far, the support received from Enel companies for hospitals, the purchase of sanitary materials, works for connection to the electricity network of field hospitals and for cultural institutions amounts to 325,000 euros.

The two cultural projects selected by Enel for funding are Online Opera Evenings of the Bucharest National Opera and #Even if we stay at home we go on, developed by the National Opera and Ballet Theater “Oleg Danovski” in Constanța.
