Enel makes new investments in network upgrade

Enel Distributie Muntenia has completed the upgrading works to the Giurgiu county network, of over 2 million lei, according to a release.

“They were concerned both the low voltage network and the MV. Currently over 1000 customers in three localities, Copaciu, Uzunu and Anghelesti benefit from increased comfort and safer power supply”, it is shown in the release, quoted by Bursa.

The cost of the completed works are over 2,000,000 lei, and are part of a wider program of modernizing the Giurgiu network. During the modernization process there have been replaced so far over 19,000 meters of cable and more than 400 groups of measurement and protection were installed.

“In the town of Copaciu the low and medium voltage network, as well as the taps have been fully upgraded and measuring devices have been installed on the outside. In the town of Uzunu the works were completed at the transformer for medium voltage network with the modernization of the low voltage network. The plans for Uzunu and  Anghelesti imply the moving of the measuring equipment on the outside and the installing of smart meters, “reads the source.

Today, in Giurgiu County, full upgrading works are performed for four cities (Marsa, Mironeşti, Baneasa, Remus) and the Nicolae Titulescu Boulevard in Giurgiu.

They are part of an investment project developed by Enel in Romania which aims to improve the quality of customer service, network modernization and implementation of local environmental standards of Enel, according to the source.
