The Romanian consortium formed by Electrica, Hidroelectrica and the Energy Participation Management Company (SAPE) submitted a binding offer on Thursday to buy a large part of the assets held by CEZ in Romania, put up for sale by the Czech company. Electrica already announced to the shareholders at the beginning of the month that “it is in the process of exploring the possibility of its participation, within a potential consortium formed together with the SAPE and the Hidroelectrica S.A., at the competitive procedure organized by CEZ for the sale of its Romanian subsidiaries,” according to e-nergia.ro.

CEZ announced that it is selling electricity distribution in Oltenia, the wind farm in Dobrogea (about 600 MW, the largest onshore wind farm in Europe), the supply company, which has 1.4 million customers and micro hydropower plants in the area Resita (four in number, 22 MW installed capacity).
