EBRD provides financing of 58 million euro for the largest wind farm in Kosovo

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has granted a loan of 58 million euro for the construction of a 105 MW wind farm in Bajgora, Kosovo, the largest project in the field of wind energy in Kosovo and the largest that investment bank offered so far in the former Serbian province.

The loan was granted to Sowi Kosovo, which will handle the construction and operation of the Bajgora wind farm. Sowi Kosovo is controlled by the Israeli company Enlight Renewable Energy. It is the largest EBRD investment in the private sector in Kosovo. In total, the bank has invested, to date, 413 million euros in 67 projects in Kosovo.
