Dragan (Ministry of Economy): We will focus on the development of energy infrastructure

Romania will focus on the development of energy infrastructure and measures for renewable energy, in order to ensure the transition to a low carbon economy, said the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy, Dan Dragos Dragan, at the debate on the EU Strategy recovery, according to a ministry statement.

“Romania will start the process of reflection on the national recovery plan, which will be guided by the realization of the green and digital transition. We will focus on the development of energy infrastructure, transport infrastructure and measures for renewable energy, in order to ensure the transition towards a low carbon economy,” said Dan Dragos Dragan, at the debate on the EU Recovery Strategy, according to Agerpres.

At the same time, the Secretary of State stressed that in this process, the elements included in the Specific Country Recommendations within the European Semester will be taken into account, in order to ensure the coherence of the investment priorities with those aimed at structural reforms.

He also referred to the need for an expansion of the single market and the removal of market barriers, considering the importance of the application of the Market Surveillance Regulation and the Regulation on mutual recognition and the role of harmonized standards.
