E.ON Romania will reforest, in the first part of November, over 3.5 hectares of land in the Stejăreni areas, near Sighișoara, Mureș and Pătrăuți County, Suceava County. With the support of the Mureș and Suceava Forestry Departments, 18,000 seedlings of sessile, ash, maple and beech will be planted, a number equivalent to that of the new accounts made by customers on E.ON Myline during September-October, customers who have activated and electronic invoice.

The E.ON project is part of the company’s sustainable development strategy which aims to be a model of good practices in terms of nature protection and ensuring a greener future.

Even if reducing paper consumption seems a minor thing, this measure together with the use of renewable energy sources or reducing energy consumption can essentially contribute to increasing the quality of life. That is why customers are encouraged to opt for the electronic invoice instead of the traditional one, on paper, thus saving thousands of trees from cutting every year.

“Through this action we contribute to reducing pollution. We thank our customers for the way they respond to our sustainability initiatives. We reward them with a tree planted for each new account on the E.ON Myline platform, for which the electronic invoice has also been activated, in the last two months. Only together can we build a greener future,” says Claudia Griech, Deputy General Manager of E.ON Romania.

The optimal periods for planting trees are spring – March-April and autumn -end of October – early November, when the percentage of seedlings that take root reaches 80-90%.
