Competition analyzes the takeover by Rompetrol Downstream of the nine petrol stations operated by Comision Trade

Competition Council analyzes the transaction through which Rompetrol Downstream SRL intends to take over the right of use over nine fuel distribution stations belonging to the Commission Trade group, the authority announced.

The nine fuel distribution stations are located in Agigea, Brăila, Focșani, Mangalia, Brașov, Zărnești, Caracal, Caraș-Severin and Târgu Jiu.

The activities of the KMG International Group, of which Rompetrol Downstream SRL is a part, focus mainly on the refining, retail, marketing and trading sectors, with additional operations in the exploration and production sector and in the area of industrial oil services for third parties (services well, industrial services, drilling), offering, at the same time, management consultancy and business consultancy as a support component of the other operations.

The Commission Trade Group is active in several areas, such as: wholesale sales, domestic and international road transport, distribution of fuels in gas stations. Comision Trade has been a Rompetrol partner since 2005, currently operating a number of Rompetrol franchise stations.

In accordance with the provisions of the Competition Law (no. 21/1996), this operation is an economic concentration that must be authorized by the Competition Council.
