The Supervisory Board of Transelectrica has decided to revoke Marius-Dănuț Carașol from the membership of the Directorate, respectively president of the Directorate. The measure was taken, “out of concern for the image of the society”, one day after information published in the press (SEE edupedu.ro) questioned the authenticity of the studies completed by Marius-Dănuț Carașol.

Marius-Dănuț Carașol have been headed the Directorate of Transelectrica from December 2018, through successive mandates of only a few months each.

Starting with September 19, 2019, Mrs. Claudia-Gina Anastase was appointed as President of the Board. The mandate of Claudia-Gina Anastase is due to end on October 10, if it is not extended again. With more than 20 years of experience as an economist, the new President of the Directorate graduated the Economic Science Faculty of the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Industry Management section, and in 2006 as top graduate she got the master diploma specializing in “Political Management” with the Ovidiu Sincai Post Graduate Academic Study School in Bucharest.

Marius Carașol is hard to find

The president of the Transelectrica Supervisory Board Mircea Coșea told Digi24 TV that when Marius Carașol was asked for the documents proving the studies, he have provided a file in which he had had a sanitary school diploma and a graduation diploma through license of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Electrotechnical section, a diploma similar to the ones that are issued at the license. He also brought four pages of school enrollment, with all exams. “We couldn’t testify if they have been issued correctly or if it has been a fake. But the paper exists” and it looked original, said Coșea.

At the same time, Mircea Coșea specified that Ecaterina Andronescu, the President of the Senate of the Polytechnic University, himself called and confirmed to him that Politehnica did not grant the diploma with the respective number for Marius Carașol.

“Today, again, we called an emergency meeting of the Board, because this situation could not continue, Transelectrica is a company of strategic interest, listed on the stock exchange, we risk negative economic effects. That was why I called the Board and decided to revoke him in absence. He never came, did not answer any phone calls, no calls”, said Mircea Coșea.
