CIS GAZ, specializing in pipeline construction and service provision for the oil and gas industry, signed two investment contracts with SNTGN Transgaz. The first contract, worth 33.5 million lei, is to rebuilt plans of the natural gas pipeline on the Craiova – Segarcea – Băileşti – Calafat route. CIS GAZ will build a pipeline with a diameter of 500 mm, the deadline for completion being January 2020.

The project is a remake of the pipeline designed 8 years ago on the Craiova Segarcea section, according to the technical project elaborated by SC Gazproiect Brasov, quoted by investenergy.ro. According to the representatives of CIS GAZ, its implementation is aimed at supplying natural gas to southern Oltenia, thus contributing to the increase of living and comfort of the population. The project also adds value by streamlining the heating process of homes, but also protecting the environment by feeding households with natural gas and reducing fuel consumption.

The second investment contract signed by CIS GAZ with Transgaz, amounting to 22.5 million lei, provides for the construction of a gas pipeline on the Mintia – Brad – Ştei section. Basically CIS GAZ will realize the first stage of the pipeline, the Mintia-Brad section, in Hunedoara County. The project aims to supply gas to consumers in Hunedoara, Arad and Bihor according to the technical project developed by SC Gazproiect SA Braşov. The pipeline will have a length of 35 km and is expected to be completed in April 2020.
