Companies that have to sell gas at a capped price can recover their losses by June 30, 2022, according to GEO 114, but ANRE should issue the methodological norms for the application of this provision in the next period, according to market sources.

ANRE has decided to limit the price of the gas sold to the population and the thermal power plants (CHPs) and imposed the explicit restriction of the sale to other legal entities.

“Clearly, we will see these losses transposed into bills,” quoted sources say.

The Government decided last week to amend GEO 114 by issuing a new ordinance, 19/2019.

Thus, ANRE will have to amend all previously issued acts in order to comply with the new ordinance.
