ANRE has no longer any responsibilities on energy managers and energy auditors

The National Energy Regulatory Authority – ANRE has announced that it no longer has among its attributions the certification of the energy managers and the authorization of the energy auditors, as the Government Emergency Ordinance 1/2020 transferred these responsibilities to the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment.

In an announcement posted on the institution’s website the authority specifies that it will refund to the applicants the money paid for obtaining the certificates of energy manager, the authorizations of energy auditors and respectively for the extension of these documents, in cases where ANRE has not completed the authorization, respectively the certification procedure. Also, all the documents in work, as sent by the applicants will be returned by post, with acknowledgment of receipt.

ANRE specifies that from January 15 the requests regarding obtaining the certificates of energy managers, the authorizations of energy auditors – natural and legal persons – , the authorizations of companies providing energy services and respectively the extension of these documents as well as any other requests or clarifications related to these aspects will be addressed to the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment.
