ANRE has increased the electricity transmission tariff since January

The Energy Regulatory Authority has slightly increased the electricity transmission tariff provided by Transelectrica and maintained the tariff level for system services.

ANRE has approved, by Order 216, the new regulated tariffs for the national transmission and system operator, Transelectrica, which the company will charge from 1 January 2020. The transport tariff is of 18.33 lei/ MWh (with the two components of the its introduction and extraction), and is about 3.7% higher than the tariff currently applied, of 17.68 lei/ MWh, a level that is in force from July 1, 2019, according to e-nergia.ro.

The tariff for the system service was maintained, at the value of 14.89 lei/ MWh.

The ANRE order shows that the new transport tariff will be applied also for electricity that has been contracted in advance from producers by suppliers and traders, through contracts on centralized markets, but which will be delivered after January 1, 2020.
