ANRE has approved Transgaz’ investment plan: 4.2 bln. euro by 2029

The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) approved, at the meeting of the regulatory committee on November 25, Transgaz’s investment plan for the period 2020-2029, which provides for projects with a total value of 4.2 billion euro, according to a statement .

“Transgaz’s management continues one of the largest and most important programs for the development of natural gas transmission infrastructure in Romania in the last 20 years, with investment projects estimated at approximately 4.2 billion euro, projects that will result in creation of new natural gas transmission lanes essential for the transport, both on the domestic market and on the markets in the region, of the quantities of natural gas discovered in the Black Sea, but also after Romania’s integration in the great cross-border routes of the South-East/North-South Corridor of Europe,” is shown in the Development Plan of the National Gas Transmission System.

Priority projects include BRUA pipeline, whose first phase, the one on the Romanian territory, was completed last Sunday.

Further investments include the southern transport corridor for taking over the Black Sea gas (371 million euros), the interconnection of the NTS with the T1 transit pipeline and the Isaccea reverse flow (77 million euros), as well as the modernization of the Isaccea and Negru Vodă stations, the interconnection with Serbia and with Hungary, as well as new SNT developments in the northeast of the country, in order to improve the gas supply of the Republic of Moldova (174 million euros), according to Agerpres.
