ANRE has approved investments of about 1.7 bln. lei this year for electricity grid

The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has approved for the transmission and system operator and the concessionary electricity distribution operators, for the year 2021, total investments of at least 1.684 billion lei, according to a release.

The investment works aim to improve the indicators of service performance, safety in operation, reduce operating and maintenance costs, strengthen networks to increase the network connection capacity of users, increase energy efficiency and achieve intelligent metering systems.

Thus, Transelectrica has an investment plan of 330 million lei, E-Distribuţie Muntenia – 215 million lei E-Distribuţie Banat – 127 million lei, E-Distribuţie Dobrogea – 105 million lei, Delgaz Grid – 150 million lei lei, Oltenia Energy Distribution – 207 million lei, Northern Muntenia – 176 million lei, Northern Transylvania – 187 million lei, Southern Transylvania – 187 million lei.

In addition to the annual investment plan approved for each distribution operator, the operators have the obligation to finance the construction of connection installations for domestic customers, as well as for non-household final customers whose connection installation is less than 2,500 meters.
