ANRE continues to cut from unused capacities

The energy market supervizor has assumed to remove from the list of capacities of the country the unused and dormant units. The institution announced today that it has withdrawn licenses for an additional 600 MW out of the estimated 8,000 MW non-existent capacities.

“ANRE continues the analysis of the electricity production capacities in order to evaluate their installed power as accurately as possible and has published, on its own website, the situation of the installed capacities in production capacities on 01.11.2019, which will be updated. periodically”, the institution announced.

”The regulatory committee of ANRE, meeting on 06.11.2019, discussed and approved the modification of the License no. 1085 for the commercial exploitation of the capacities of electricity and thermal energy production in cogeneration, granted to the Company Complexul Energetic Oltenia SA, in the sense of excluding the G5 block of CTE ROVINARI, with an installed capacity of 330 MW electric, which is in capital repairs until 30.06.2021 , from the specific conditions associated with this license, as well as the modification of the License no. 1180 for the commercial exploitation of the capacities of electricity production, granted to the National Society of Natural Gas „ROMGAZ” S.A., for the purpose of excluding the groups no. 1 and no. 6 from CTE IERNUT, with an installed capacity of 100 MW electric and, respectively, 200 MW electric, from the specific conditions associated with this license, at the request of the license holder.”
