Alexe: Homeowners can receive up to 15,000 euro to make their buildings energy efficient

Homeowners in Romania will be able to access a premium of up to 15,000 euro, through which they can make their buildings more energy efficient, announced on Tuesday the Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Costel Alexe, at the launch of public consultation of the Financing Guide for the “Energy Efficient House” Program.

”The program we are launching today is addressed exclusively to homeowners in Romania. Through this program, they can make their homes more energy efficient, accessing an energy efficiency premium of up to 15,000 euro, with which they will be able to install thermal insulation systems, windows, condensing plants, solar panels, LED lighting systems, all possible systems that Romanians can purchase and thus transform their homes into energy efficient homes,” Alexe was quoted as saying by Agerpres.

He added that, at present, in Romania there are houses that lose at least 30% of the energy they have inside, 25% through roofs and 25% through windows.
