The enrollment period expired on April 5, but publishing the list of validated for installers of photovoltaic systems subsidized by the Environmental Fund Administration – AFM will happen not earlier than 3 or even 4 weeks. The estimate takes into account the estimated workload and all procedures needed, among which answering to all contestations and signing of contracts between the AFM and each of the firms accepted in the program.

“We have now about 200 validated installers and there are premises for this number to increase to 260-270, because a procedure for remedying some nonconformities is in progress,” said Andrei Iorgulescu, Director for Project, Environmental Fund Administration.

At the beginning of the month, Iorgulescu talked about around 470 applications, many of which had already been rejected by before. The AFM decided to relax the enrollment conditions by removing the provision requiring the installer to have similar previous works in its portfolio, instead it made it sufficient to demonstrate previous works on maintenance or construction.

“We held talks and we are in the final stage to finalize the documentation to ensure the financing of this program through the Regional Operational Program,” Iorgulescu said. “Probably in less than a month we could start this program.”

The Regional Operational Program, through the AFM, will subsidize the prosumers’ investments with 115 million euros, up to 90% of the value of the works, for installing photovoltaic systems of 3kW to 27 kW, no more than 20,000 lei per beneficiary.
